Almost 25 years of exposure to social issues as a journalist<\/strong>, as a writer<\/strong>, a researcher<\/strong>, and as a socially sensitized traveler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently working with the Press Trust of India<\/strong> on desk but I continue writing on environmental, developmental and climate change related issues. Himalayas, water, rivers and the interests of India\u2019s tribal population are some of my focus areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My journalistic achievements include several national, and international reporting fellowships apart from awards for reporting on environment and health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I live in Delhi<\/strong> but frequently travel across India, the mighty Himalayas being my favourite destination. The camera is my constant companion on all trips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Had small stints at IANS<\/strong>, a private news agency and News9Plus<\/strong>, India\u2019s only news OTT platform. Have earlier worked at the Hindustan Times<\/strong> at Indore<\/strong> and Delhi<\/strong> and before that, had started with the Press Trust of India<\/strong> at Delhi<\/strong> and then worked at Mumbai<\/strong>. Before the pandemic-induced lockdown, worked as an independent for seven years.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an independent journalist, my works appeared in London\u2019s Climate News Network, The Guardian, Third Pole.net, The Wire, IndiaSpend.com, Mongabay-India, Vice Media, Urban Affairs, India Climate Dialogue.net, Daily O, Newsroom24X7.com, Hindustan Times, The Statesman, The Pioneer, The Tribune, Arunachal Times, Deccan Chronicle, Free Press Journal, Scroll.in, India Water Portal, Network18.com, Wion News, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I write in English<\/strong> regularly but sometimes, also in Marathi<\/strong> and Hindi<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This website is an effort to collect my works under a single roof. I also express myself on twitter pretty regularly through posts, threads and photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
